After Las Vegas we made a stop at impressive Hoover dam.
It was interesting to hear the story of how they made the dam, how they forced the water into alternative roads during the building process, how they built in pipes to be able to cool down the concrete so it would harden faster... Did you for instance know that the dam was named Boulder dam from the beginning, after the closest city Boulder (that arose since the workers had to stay somewhere)?
